Construction was awarded the works by Amey to carry out resin Injection as a construction solution to the in-situ Bridge bearings, whilst also carrying out numerous finishing works that was required for the bridge to be handed over to the client.

Injection works to the bearings was required to fill/seal all gaps between the two loading plates. This was a complex procedure as the bridge needed to be jacked and supported to allow access between the bearing plates. The bridge jacking was carried out by CLM/Mabey on two night shifts Net Work Rail closures. Precise and advanced planning was required for the Road & Rail closures, which involved NWR, CLM, MABEY, AMEY & STAFFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

The works were completed successfully as planned and within time constraints.
