Bat Barn Construction
Introduction
CLM are currently employed by LMJV on a number HS2 (North) Enabling projects.
These include the safe and successful completion of 4 types of Bat Barns for HS2.
These Bat Barns are located in Drayton Bassett, Cudworth, Stoneleigh Park and Hints, these locations are now being handed over to BBV.
CLM were responsible for the entire construction of each Bat Barn and additionally for the creation of safe access routes to each location. We completed the Bat Barns between January 2018 and September 2020.
Final structural and ecological inspections were completed in 2021 and the additional ecological modifications were instructed by HS2 – these included solar panels and heating bars.
The programme was significantly extended due to legal land possession issues to the sites and the necessity to strengthen existing structures along access routes.
Health, Safety and Environmental Performance
CLM completed the entire project without a single accident – either reportable or non – reportable and our performance was accurately monitored by HS2 and LMJV. The report can be found here.
